Employment opportunities at the WSRCD often require a diverse range of skillsets, from GIS to botany, to being able to ride a quad. Employees also work with a wide range of individuals and agencies. As part of the organization, you are truly an active member of the natural resources and conservation community. Current opportunities will be added as they become available. However, you are also welcome to contact us at 530-365-7332 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Many opportunities exist at the WSRCD for interns, both highschoolers and college students. Areas of opportunity often include GIS and administrative duties. However, new opportunities frequently come available.
The WSRCD is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors with the support of associate directors, all local landowners and business people, appointed by the Shasta County Board of Supervisors. It is important for the board membership to reflect a broad knowledge about conservation, along with a respect for agriculture, forestry, mining, and other endeavors that use natural resources.
We are always looking for new Associate Directors. If you would like to receive more information about the District or attend one of our meetings, call us at 530-365-7332 or contact us via email. We can send you an agenda and information packet.
